NEAR Foundation Inks Deal With Google Cloud to Provide Developers Technical Support

The NEAR Foundation, the entity behind the NEAR Protocol blockchain and decentralized app (dApp) platform, has revealed a strategic partnership with Google Cloud. In this collaboration, Google Cloud will assist NEAR developers in constructing and expanding their Web3 projects. The focus is on supporting NEAR’s Remote Procedure Call (RPC) node provider to Pagoda, the Web3 startup platform of NEAR. This integration will empower developers to deploy code swiftly, securely, and seamlessly. Pagoda streamlines the dApp launch process on NEAR by providing a library of pre-audited templates and auto-generated contract user interfaces.

Carlos Arena, Director of Digital Assets at Google Cloud, expresses the commitment to offer NEAR and Web3 developers a secure, reliable, and sustainable cloud infrastructure for building and scaling their projects. The collaboration aims to nurture emerging leaders in creating innovative products and services on blockchain-based platforms.

NEAR Protocol, known for its speed, security, and scalability, has experienced substantial growth, with over 20 million accounts, 200 million transactions to date, and a daily transaction volume ranging from 300,000 to 400,000 on the NEAR network. Additionally, 800 projects are actively developing on the NEAR protocol. Among them is Sender, a Web3 wallet that recently concluded a $4.5 million private funding round.

Marieke Flament, CEO of the NEAR Foundation, expresses excitement about collaborating with pioneers of the Internet, emphasizing that this partnership signifies a new chapter for NEAR as it continues to provide robust support for the next generation of visionaries building on the NEAR protocol.

Google Cloud has previously entered similar partnerships, including one with Binance’s BNB Chain, supporting startups developing products or services on the blockchain-based platform. The collaboration underscores Google Cloud’s commitment to fostering blockchain technology development, as evidenced by the establishment of a digital asset team earlier in the year.
